Occupational Therapy intervention services are covered by most health insurers in Ireland, with up to 75% cover. A number of Health Insurers also have Child Only Policies available. All Occupational Therapy receipts will be provided with the required registration number of the OT to enable this cover to be availed of. Therapeutic Riding 1:1 sessions are under the clinical responsibility of the Occupational Therapist and therefore should also qualify for private insurance claims and receipts with acknowledgement of Occupational Therapy and the CORU Logo will be provided. You should contact your insurance provider to clarify what your policy covers. In addition, you may be able to claim tax relief on certain unclaimed medical expenses by submitting a Form MED 1 which can be downloaded from www.revenue.ie.

Unfortunately Therapeutic Horsemanship Services do not qualify for claims under health insurance. 

All invoices are sent on or before the day of sessions. There is a payment link attached. Bank transfer (using your childs initials as the identifier) or cash payment at the yard are also accepted. It is kindly requested that all sessions are paid immediately on receipt of the Invoice. 

If cancellation is made up to 1 week prior to the session, the sessions can be rescheduled. Cancellation within 1 week of the session will incur full payment for the session due to the amount of resources that are in place for each session, including staff, support staff and horses. 

We run sessions in all weather conditions outside official weather warnings. If your session is cancelled due to a weather warning, the session will be rescheduled. 

We accept referrals directly from parents / caregivers, or from Healthcare Practitioners.
